But I don't understand the hair part. People who usually dress like that use perm to make their hair look like like yenechochen, meselegn.

I don't think you're alone -- I know a 12 and 15 year old kids born to a white mother and an Ethiopian father who are very protective of their "gabee" .. while on a trip to visit their white granny one winter, the 15 year old girl wrote an email to her mom saying she was a little disappointed with grand ma.. one cold evening the girl wanted her "gabee" and asked grand ma if she had seen it -- what "gabbee" ? the granny asked ... the girl explained to which the reply was... "ohhhh the rug??!!"
