2 - Aye Yekolo and Wegesha. If you had been smart enough to ask me or T who had to sit through all of that at Alem Cinema, trying to contain our laughter at "oh hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii moooommmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyy I'mmmmm fiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeeeeeeeee........ noooooooooooooo moooooooooooommmmmmmmmy........" and all the yetenzaza engelizegna that was thrown at us, you would have been home enjoying a nice movie; "Napoleon Dynamite" perhaps, some shay and a shared gabi ;) I'm sorry you had to be subjected to that movie and to be quite honest, besu movie beschiya yalekeskut embaye eskahun alderekem. You brought up some bad memories...... ok back to work. But I hear semeyawi feres ("blue horse") is supposed to be really good. If you ever get your hands on that let me know please. (Comment this)
3 - Cant seem to stop laughing at you fools for going to the movies to watch this appalling (and I am being nice here) piece of work when I told Yekolo Temari not to go!
Well, I too went to see this movie while I was in Addis only because Semayawi Ferese, (which was a more popular choice) sold out literally for weeks.
Anyway, the very unrealistic depiction of the many characters with their constant animated gestures really tested my patience. To be honest, I usually dont have many expectations from Ethiopian movies but this one must belong in its own category.
But you know, the funny thing was that the audience did not seem as bothered by some of the characters, especially the Ethio-American girl (b****). They seemed to laugh at her very ferenjized behavior with us but at the same time it felt like they believed her character when all I wanted to do was slap her every time she graced the screen.
Becha, to this day my cousin and I still lament over the fact that we paid $40 birr to watch this crap when we could have gone to our favorite Kasanchise bar and gotten a lot more action for our money. (Comment this)
5 - well I can't wait to see this film you are all fuming about on its short comings. you realize if the actors hear you now they will be saying... " Abet! abesha mechem mekengna new" :) (Comment this)
I could not have said it any better
tariku yetenzaza
Melektu yeTeneza
Maygenagn negeru yebeza
Mozaza
$12 dollars was a rip off. I would have had 12 lap dances at the local Dominican bar.
