Mesgana Dancers In NYC
The tiny Mesgana dancers were giants on the stage. The talented girls performed several well choreographed dances from different Ethiopian ethnic groups. They were on the point and exciting. The passionate audience responded to their performance by clapping throughout the performance and encouraging the girls.
The event was a perfect reminder to all of us that with a minimal amount of effort we have the power to make a tremendous impact on a life of a person who otherwise would struggle in life. If humanitarians such as Norm Purdue, the founder of COEEF, go all the way to Ethiopia and manage to make such an impact on the lives of many, the least we Ethiopians can do is support such efforts.
A truly emotional evening.
